Calling all Sewing Goddesses...
I haven't taken a sewing class since junior high...I got this machine for Christmas 4 years ago and still haven't learned to use it. I thought i'd be a good little domestic wife and hem a pair of pants for my hubby. It's turning out to be a disaster. Please help...my bobbin has been hijacked and i'm seriously frustrated. What am I doing wrong? Please HELP!

i was just telling my mom the other day that i really want a sewing machine. nothing fancy just a stitch here and there. then i remembered that in Foods in 7th grade i was making a pot holder and sewed it to my own sleeve. so i probably will need sweing lessons to go along with the machine.
Lessons at Joann Fabric. If you go, there is a guy whose job is to just sit there and sell sewing machines. He will give you a free lesson, if he thinks you are going to buy a machine. Maybe pretend that you like the brother machine that you have. He doesn't have to know you already have it. And ask him to show you the ropes! The one over on Baranca and Von Karmen on the border of Irvine and Tustin is the place to go.
i have a bernina so i don't know how other brands work, but it is usually a problem with your threading on the top end?!? good luck!
