Oakley Rodeo

Every year for I don't know how many years, my family has been going to the Oakley Rodeo on the 4th of July. It is such a blast. It used to be held in this tiny, podunk arena and now they have this "state of the art" rodeo arena, complete with a mega-screen. Pretty amazing! It such a fun tradition and the 4th will never be the same without it. My favorite part this year was watching Brielle (my neice) go to town with the cotton candy. Tiff had to wipe her down 3 times to get all the sticky off and it still wouldn't come out of her hair.

How could I resist introducing this deluctable treat to such a darling girl? Hopefully her Mom will forgive me. She did tell her you can only buy cotton candy at the Rodeo. Oh the joys of being a favorite(sorry Sarah) Auntie!

where are all the pictures of you two?! :) How are things with you and your pug?
Honestly...I hate photos of myself so I RARELY post them, silly I know but, I'm crazy like that. Our puggy is great, he's back to his crazy old self acting like nothing ever happened. Love your blog-looks like you guys are having a fun adventure.
Ok, how cute is your niece. Absolutely darling! I'm so glad you had a wonderful Fourth! See you in a few weeks!
holy smokes is brielle like 10??!! I can't believe she is that big. And those eyes...hello cutie!! fun, fun!
I am glad you blog so I can keep up on the family adventures!
That is hilarious that Tiff told Brielle that cotton candy can only be bought at the rodeo. You are a fun aunt to buy that for her :)
My brother goes to some Utah rodeo every year and does the cow roping contest. Last year they won it!
How fun, your little niece is so cute.
This is going to be one of those lies that Brielle won't uncover until she's like 16 when her friends get cotton candy at some event and she starts wondering if she's at a rodeo. Then they'll all laugh, Brielle will play it off like she was just joking, but when she gets home she will confront you ALL!!
It's an important part of childhood and I support it completely. We just need to make sure she doesn't discover the truth for a long time.
Whatever Nat!!! I'll just be the one to introduce her to her first Cafe Rio salad! ;)
Love the photo's Nat.
You captured a memory...she has your spirit. MOM
So cute. Where the heck is Oakley?
Oakley is by Kamas, above Park City & Jordanelle. Hay, I thought you of all people would know.
thank you so much Nat for those wonderful pics of sweet little Brielle! And the pic and comment of July 4th are so nice too! I loved also the views of your surroundings and I miss all of you and America! Lots of love from Aix!
WOW, this is the cutest kid I have ever seen...and I'm not biased at all! Nat, I can't believe you're telling the world my lies to my child about cotton candy!
